Emelialou Creative.
Emelialou Creative is the brainchild of Emily Scherling and was imagined up during those late, sleepless nights as a new momma. As a creative outlet and a means of side hustle, Emelialou Creative has brought a new chapter in my life and it is with most sincere gratitude that I thank you for your patronage and support of my tiny little shop. I endeavor to create accessories that will bring happiness to your day and a smile to your face. I make every one of my pieces with love and hope you can see that in my work. Every item in my shop is made by hand using polymer clay and while I strive for perfection, these are not mass-manufactured pieces and may not look exactly the same as you might expect. I am very proud of the quality of my work and do my best to have my listing photos reflect the actual item. The specific item that you receive will be the one in the listing image unless otherwise noted.
Please understand the complexities of creating patterns, canes or marbled pieces when you are buying. It’s impossible for me to recreate any pattern, cane, or marble technique exactly. No two items are exactly the same just as no two clay slabs are the same. Please be assured that your Emelialou creation is entirely custom and unique to you!

Care Instructions
Polymer clay is strong but not indestructible. The best way to keep your items happy is to store them in a cool, dry spot, out of direct sunlight and excessive heat. Please do not let them float around the bottom of your purse or makeup bag. If they do get scuffed, you can use a baby wipe or rubbing alcohol to lightly clean and remove marks. Avoid bathing or swimming while wearing your items, as well as perfumes or harsh chemicals.
These accessories are not suitable for children as the small parts are a hazard.
As tempting as it may be to bend your accessories to test the flexibility of cured polymer clay, please do not intentionally bend your items in any manner! This will weaken the clay and can cause breakage. Emelialou Creative will not exchange or replace items in the event that they have broken due to intentional bending.
Shipping
Emelialou Creative is the tiniest of small businesses - it’s just me, making and perfecting, and then filling orders. Thank you for your grace and patience when it comes to receiving your items.
Currently, shipping is available for the United States only. All orders destined for locations within the contiguous United States ship for $5. Free shipping is available on orders $65+ and is automatically applied at checkout. Orders typically arrive 2-5 business days after the shipping notification is received. Items can be shipped to Alaska and Hawaii for a flat fee of $15.
Items that you see in my shop are typically in stock and ready to ship, unless otherwise noted in the product listing. Please allow 1-5 business days for fulfillment before receiving notification that your purchase has shipped. In special cases, when items are marked as Made to Order, please allow 10-14 business days for creating/processing before receiving your shipping notification. I ship using USPS and provide tracking information via email as soon as your shipping label has been printed.
Once your package is in possession of USPS, I am no longer be responsible for it. If you would like to purchase insurance for your package, please email me at emelialoucreative@gmail.com within 24 hours of placing your order. If your item becomes lost in the mail or has been delayed, please reach out to your local Post Office to look up the item for you. They will provide more clarity than I am able to from my end.
I cannot offer refunds if your item arrives later than anticipated.
If a package is lost, please allow 20 business days to pass after shipping before filing a claim for a lost package, per USPS policy. Please keep in mind that current shipping times may vary due to various policies and global shipping delays.
If your package is returned to sender or needs to be re-shipped for any reason, the customer is responsible for additional shipping fees.
Order Cancellations & Combined Shipping
If you wish to cancel your order, please email me at emelialoucreative@gmail.com within 24 hours of placing your order. If your order has not been packed, you will receive a full refund. However if your order has been packed and is on the way to the post office, I cannot offer a refund.
I am happy to combine orders. If you place multiple orders within 24 hours, please email me at emelialoucreative@gmail.com as soon as possible to combine orders and reduce your cost of shipping and the use of packing materials.
Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
I do my best to represent each item online as accurately as possible to give you an idea of what to expect. If your purchase doesn’t meet your expectations, consider giving as a gift!
I cannot offer returns or refunds for any reason. Exchanges for items damaged in shipping are accepted within 7 calendar days of receipt of your order. Outside of this window, damages will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and all shipping costs in these circumstances will be at the expense of the customer. If you are exchanging due to damage, only a duplicate of your previous order will be sent back to you.
Items marked as "reduced" are final sale and are not eligible for the aforementioned exchange process.
Polymer clay is very durable and tough to break, but I understand that accidents do happen. If for some reason your items break, please contact me via email at emelialoucreative@gmail.com to coordinate a solution.
Sustainability
All packaging is reusable and recyclable - please recycle anything you do not keep! Polymer clay is a plastic, but we do not use plastic when sending your purchases in the mail. I also do my very best to limit plastic waste generated during the creative process. All scrap clay, broken pieces, and offcuts are kept and reworked to become new items.
